The extension adopts a pitched gable roof design reflecting the traditional architectural style of the existing dwelling, with the ridge height carefully considered to remain subordinate to the main house while providing a generous internal ceiling height. It incorporates a new gable-ended rear projection, large feature glazing within the gable elevation, new glazed bi-fold doors providing direct access to the rear garden, rooflights within the pitched roof to enhance natural daylight, and matching brickwork, roof slates and rainwater goods to complement the existing property.
