The extension complements the existing dwelling through matching brickwork, roof materials and traditional proportions. External walls use facing brickwork selected to closely match the existing property, creating a seamless transition between the original dwelling and the new extension, and the roof uses complementary tiles for visual consistency. Key features include a single-storey rear extension, a mono-pitched tiled roof, three rooflights incorporated into the roof plane, large glazed French doors providing direct garden access, a feature kitchen window overlooking the rear garden, matching facing brickwork, white framed windows and doors to complement the existing dwelling, and integrated soffit lighting to the rear elevation.
Planning route

Building regulations
A full set of building-regulations drawings was prepared, covering the structure, insulation specifications, drainage layout and specification, windows and glazing, foundation details, floor, wall and roof build-ups, internal partitions and waterproofing, coordinated with a structural engineer.

Outcome
This project is under construction and new images will appear here in future. The development will provide a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and family area while improving natural light levels and strengthening the connection to the rear garden.
